OVERALL REFLECTION:

This course has taught me the importance of presenting your ideas and works visually. the course taught me how to show my creativeness and skill without talking about it. In the 3 workshops i chose (motion, atlas, model making) my final piece at the end of the 4 week workshop was unique, elaborate and presented my ideas.

My 3 workshops worked well together as they relied on skills i dont usually use. I created and edited my first still shot film. Painted and used photoshop in my atlas and learnt how to build an abstract 3D scaled model.

This course has really brought out my creative side and i will utilise this in subsequent courses.

The ideas and concepts I learnt in my first workshop, architecture in motion transcended to atlas of colour where I successfully incoroporated the colours I used in my film to create an atlas which was bold and brash.

Making the atlas was a fiddley task which required precision with measuring and neatness when joining the pages. The skills I learnt when making the atlas helped me with my model making, as model making required precision measuring, cutting and glueing.

MODELLING

I have really enjoyed the modelling workshop.
  • I have learnt how to use different materials, (Balsa & box-board).
  • i have learnt how to use different scales.

I enjoyed the workshop because it was so hands on.

I found it hard to be so precise wih measurements. I also found it difficult to present/construct ideas and thoughts you had about your model.
